Important Eligibility Notes:

• Qualifications: Must be Full-Time Regular courses (except CA/ICWA-CMA) from recognized Indian Universities/Institutes (AICTE/UGC approved). No equivalent qualifications considered.

• Minimum Marks: 55% for UR/OBC/EWS categories, 50% for SC/ST/PwBD categories. Exception: Simple pass for CA/ICWA-CMA. (No rounding off allowed, e.g., 54.99% is NOT 55%).

• Final Year Students: Candidates awaiting final results can apply, provided they can submit the final consolidated marksheet by 31.07.2025.

• Age Limit: Maximum 30 years as of the closing date (18.05.2025).

  • Relaxations: SC/ST (+5 yrs), OBC-NCL (+3 yrs), PwBD (+10/13/15 yrs depending on category), J&K Domiciled (+5 yrs), Ex-Servicemen (as per GoI norms).

Compensation, Benefits & Career Path:

• Pay: Attractive pay scale of Rs. 50,000-160,000 (IDA).

• Allowances: In addition to Basic Pay, includes IDA, allowances @ 35% of Basic Pay (Cafeteria Approach), HRA/Company Leased Accommodation, Provident Fund, Conveyance Reimbursement, Leave Encashment, Performance Related Pay, Medical Facility, etc.

• Training & Regularization: Successful completion of the 1-year training leads to regularization as Engineer/Officer in the same pay scale with a 3% increment. Career progression follows SJVN's Promotion Policy.

• Placement: Postings can be at any SJVN installation/project/office, including subsidiaries, JVs, or on deputation, potentially involving shift operations.

• Service Bond: General/EWS/OBC candidates need to execute a bond of Rs 10 Lakh; SC/ST/PwBD candidates execute a bond of Rs 7.5 Lakh, to serve the company for at least 3 years after training.

Selection Process:

1. Computer Based Test (CBT):

   • Duration: 2 Hours

   • Format: 150 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) - 150 Marks

   • Medium: English & Hindi

   • Syllabus:

     • Part I: 120 MCQs - Relevant Discipline/Subject

     • Part II: 30 MCQs - General Ability, Logical Reasoning, Intelligence Test etc.

   • Marking: +1 Mark for correct answer. No negative marking! 0 Marks for wrong/unattempted answers.

   • Qualifying Marks: 50% (UR/EWS), 40% (Reserved Categories).

2. Group Discussion (GD) & Personal Interview (PI): Candidates shortlisted based on CBT merit (ratio approx. 1:5) will be called for GD & PI.

3. Final Selection: Based on combined weighted score: CBT (75%), GD (10%), PI (15%).

Test Centres (Tentative): New Delhi (NCR), Chandigarh, Dehradun, Itanagar, Various locations in Himachal Pradesh (Shimla, Mandi, Bilaspur, Solan, Kangra, Hamirpur, Una, Kullu - subject to availability). Candidates choose two preferences.
