NHAI Deputy Manager (F&A) Selection Process 2025 – Complete Step-by-Step Guide

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) conducts recruitment for the post of Deputy Manager (Finance & Accounts) through a structured and transparent selection process. The objective of this process is to select skilled finance professionals who can contribute to the financial planning, project accounting, auditing, budgeting, and management of India’s highway development program.

🔍 Selection Process Overview

The selection process for the Deputy Manager (F&A) post consists of two stages:

NHAI shortlists candidates for interview based on CBT performance, in the ratio of 1:5 (i.e., 5 candidates per vacancy).


🖥️ Stage 1 – Computer-Based Test (CBT)

The CBT is of 120 marks and consists of objective-type MCQ questions.

Important Points

  • Each correct answer = +1 mark

  • Wrong answer = -0.25 negative marking

  • Exam duration = 2 Hrs

  • The exam is conducted online across major cities in India.


🎤 Stage 2 – Interview (Personal Interaction)

The interview carries 15 marks.
In the interview, candidates are evaluated on:

  • Concept clarity in finance & accounting

  • Communication & reasoning ability

  • Understanding of government & public finance

  • Confidence and problem-solving skills

Final selection is based on combined merit of CBT + Interview (135 marks total).

Note: Securing the minimum qualifying marks does not guarantee an interview call.
Shortlisting depends on cut-off & merit rank.


🧾 Document Verification

After the interview, shortlisted candidates must upload / present:

  • ID Proof

  • Educational Certificates

  • MBA (Finance) degree proof

  • Category certificate (if applicable)

  • PwBD certificate (if applicable)

Only MBA (Finance) through Regular Mode is permitted—not distance or part-time.


👩‍💼 Service Bond

Selected candidates must sign a Service Bond of ₹5 Lakhs to serve NHAI for minimum 3 years.
