NHAI Accountant Selection Process 2025: Exam Pattern, Eligibility, Cut-Off & Complete Guide

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has announced recruitment for the Accountant (Group-C) post. This opportunity is especially valuable for candidates who have completed CA Inter or CMA Inter, along with a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline. The maximum age limit for this post is 30 years.


As per the notification, a total of 42 current vacancies and additional backlog vacancies are available for the Accountant post under various categories.

1. Selection Process Overview

The Accountant post selection is done only through a Computer Based Test (CBT).
There is no interview and no skill test for this post.

2. CBT Exam Pattern for Accountant

The exam consists of 120 Multiple Choice Questions, for a total of 120 Marks, with 0.25 negative marking for incorrect answers.
Exam Duration: 2 Hours.

Important: The Core Professional Knowledge section carries major weightage (80 marks).


3. Minimum Qualifying Marks (Cut-Off Criteria)

To qualify the CBT, a candidate must score:

Final selection is strictly based on marks scored in the CBT.


4. Document Verification

Only candidates who qualify the CBT will be called for document verification in order of merit.

Documents required include:

  • Aadhaar / Identity Proof

  • Educational Certificates

  • CA/CMA Inter Certificate

  • Caste / EWS / PwBD Certificate (if applicable)


5. Service Bond Condition

Selected candidates must sign a Service Bond of ₹3,00,000 to serve 3 years in NHAI.
